JUST VERY QUICKLY

If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.
If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.
He sends you flowers every spring.
He sends you a sunrise every morning.
Face it, mates' - He's crazy about you!
God didn't promise days without pain, laughter,
with out sorrow, sun without rain, but He
did promise strength for the day,
comfort for the tears, and a light for the way

THE MAIN WORD
Psalm 62
5 Find rest, O my soul, in God alone;
  my hope comes from him.
6 He alone is my rock and my salvation;
  he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
7 My salvation and my honor depend on God
  he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
8 Trust in him at all times, O people;
  pour out your hearts to him,
  for God is our refuge.

Standing in the Storm

One of the most prevalent challenges of the Christian walk is the charge to wait upon the Lord. It sometimes seems to tear against our every fiber to step back and choose not to act on our own in the midst of a storm. Amid your trouble, do you wait on the Lord, or do you quickly act to alleviate the pressure?

David had to learn to wait upon the Lord. As his enemy, King Saul, hunted him down, David waited for the better part of 15 years while hiding out in caves and living in the wilderness. Yet he penned Psalm 62 amid his troubles, and God has preserved it as wonderful instruction for us today.

No matter how harsh your storm or how deep your grief or trouble, God is in control, and all He asks is that you trustfully wait upon Him. David even said that he would do so in silence, not moaning, not begging. Just trusting. This is not standing idly by; rather, it is a pro-active choice to wait in expectation that God will equip and sustain you during the storm and ultimately deliver you in whatever manner He chooses

.

You may want to mark Isaiah 64:4 in your Bible. In moments of struggle, turn to this passage and Psalm 62 as reminders that God, in your patience, is diligently working for you.

There is no other God besides Him, who acts in behalf of the one who waits for Him.
